Take advantage of your stay in Biscarrosse to discover the exhibition « Des Ailes de Feu » at the Hydraviation Museum.
An exhibition to be discovered until 5 January 2020
Presented at the
Hydraviation Museum, the temporary exhibition
« Des Ailes de Feu » is dedicated to
water bombers and
forest fire fighting. A fight that takes place every year against
one of the most destructive elements: fire!
The exhibition « Des Ailes de Feu » is divided into four stages:
- at the heart of the action: presentation of means of protection against flems, air means to fight fire and land means to guide water bombers
- the sky firefighters: back to this epic of French civil security water bombers planes from 1963 to the present day
- the Canadair CL 215 cockpit: you will be able to observe the inside of the cockpit during the restoration process
- educational and recreational workshops
You will find
documents,
photos,
audiovisual recordings,
clothing and
collectibles.
« Des Ailes de Feu » thus pays tribute to the
courage of the fire brigade and to this collaboration with the
men of the Civil Security who, fighting against
wind and
fire, « together » save the Mediterranean or Landes ecological heritage from destruction.
